Medical research center

The Center aims to advance scientific research at the University of Science and Technology in the fields of medicine and health sciences, to create a positive impact by linking scientific research to society and community service. This aligns with one of the University’s most important goals: strengthening community partnerships.

The Center also seeks to prepare highly qualified academic and research specialists for the University through the implementation of master’s and doctoral programs. The target beneficiaries include faculty members of the University of Science and Technology in the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Nursing. This will be achieved through the rigorous preparation of curricula, research tools, and academic resources required by researchers within the Center, as well as through cooperation and partnerships with research centers at other universities.

In addition, the Center aims to provide direct services to Sudanese citizens. These services include the establishment of specialized units such as a Foot Care Unit, a Genetic Analysis Unit, and units for the diagnosis of various cancerous diseases. These facilities will facilitate early and accurate diagnosis of many medical cases and will contribute significantly to the localization of medical treatment within the country.
