The Languages Centre was established in 2022 to recognize the University of Science and Technology’s pivotal role in fostering knowledge exchange across cultures and languages. In alignment with the vision of the University President, the Centre was founded to serve as a central hub for language education, academic development, and intercultural communication. It functions in close coordination with the University’s departments, faculties, centers, deanships, and administrative sectors, both internally and externally.
The Centre is dedicated to enhancing students’ proficiency in English and other languages that contribute to their academic advancement and professional preparedness. It offers a comprehensive range of English language and academic skills courses, in addition to a broad selection of elective courses tailored to the diverse needs of students across various disciplines and faculties. Furthermore, the Centre provides specialized courses that serve not only the University community but also the wider society.
The overarching objective of the Languages Centre is to deliver high-quality language education programs in major world languages. Through these initiatives, the Centre seeks to elevate students’ linguistic competence, expand their academic capabilities, and strengthen their professional prospects within an increasingly globalized context.
